There are two hid\u00adden traps from this 5G tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy that oth\u00ader peo\u00adple might not tell you:<\/p>\n

The router and the modem chipset must be com\u00adpat\u00adi\u00adble, and there\u00adfore a stan\u00addard must be set\u00adtled in order for them to talk.<\/p>\n

The modem chipset is deeply cou\u00adpled into the sys\u00adtem on a sin\u00adgle chip with CPU and GPUs. The sys\u00adtem is nor\u00admal\u00adly shipped as a pack\u00adage.<\/p>\n

If you hold the 5G modem IP in a SOC (Sys\u00adtem-on-chip), you can also bind your CPU and GPU IP in a pack\u00adage. That means who\u00adev\u00ader con\u00adtrols the 5G IP would also con\u00adtrol the whole mar\u00adket of the CPU and GPU intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adal prop\u00ader\u00adty. If you hold the 5G router stan\u00addard, you can also con\u00adtrol the modem stan\u00addard and then con\u00adtrol the whole sys\u00adtem stan\u00addard.<\/p>\n

For exam\u00adple, if the US were to allow Huawei to sell its 5G router devices to Ver\u00adi\u00adzon or AT&T, then Huawei could make all of its base sta\u00adtions to only sup\u00adport its own modem stan\u00addard. Then you could end up with the whole sys\u00adtem pack\u00adage deliv\u00adered by Huawei as well. Then the US might have to buy more devices made by Huawei in order to use 5G.<\/p>\n
